Come and Shine with Us!

Every Sunday we gather in the church for all age worship during the first part of the service, before the children are welcomed to share stories and activities in the more relaxed space of the New Hall. A recent theme was “characters in the Bible” where we spent a little bit of time between crafts and games to explore God’s word. We had a closer look at some really interesting people, understanding the roles they played in fulfilling God’s promise to his people. We were reminded that although the Bible portrayed these men and women as special individuals, God sees all of his children as special. We affirmed that, with faith in God, ordinary people could achieve extraordinary things! A good lesson for all ages!

Once a month, we use Godly Play, a new and exciting way to engage the imagination and provide opportunities to experience the wonder, mystery and power of stories from the Bible.
